3 hidden causes of fat gain.

3 Hidden Causes of Fat Gain

The other day, I spoke with a client who was frustrated because, despite eating "healthy," he was still gaining weight. We dug into his habits and discovered he was caught in the Fat Gaining Triangle:

1. Mindless Snacking: During his free time, he would often grab nuts or look in the fridge for something quick. These seemingly innocent snacks were adding extra calories to his day.

2. Regular Alcohol Consumption: He was drinking alcohol on a semi-regular basis. Alcohol contains empty calories and when consumed, the body prioritizes burning off the alcohol before any food. Plus, alcohol acts as an appetite stimulant, encouraging more mindless eating.

3. Emotional Eating: Although he wasn’t very hungry during the day, he would eat to cope with stress once he got home. Stress accumulates throughout the day, and without strategies to manage it, it can lead to overeating.

After addressing these issues for two weeks, we managed to "magically" drop two kilos.

Often, when people tell me they’re eating healthy but not losing weight, hidden calories are the culprits. Identifying and eliminating these hidden sources can lead to effortless weight loss.

Have a great week, and stay mindful!
